Advent is defined as a noun, “the arrival of a notable person, thing, or event.”
The Advent season is upon us. For many people, Christmas is only a time of vacation from work, an opportunity to travel, spend time with family and friends, or to party. For others it is a time to relax, to reflect. Some find the Christmas season to be overly commercial, which minimizes the true meaning of the holiday, the birth of Jesus Christ. Others find the religious traditions of the period to be embarrassing and distracting, and no longer relevant to people of today.
Over the next 25 days, please join with me as I reflect on Christmas. Your thoughts and opinions are welcomed. I’ve not shared my thoughts like this before, so I’m expecting to learn a lot myself.
