Washington Times: “Internet royalty rates slammed”

A good article on the new proposal from SoundExchange to differentiate between small and large webcasters: Internet royalty rates slammed. It appears based on rumors and the press release from SoundExchange that Christmas Music 24/7 will be able to start webcasting again under this new compromise. But until I get official word, you’ll need to be a VIP member of Live365.

Also, SoundExchange’s compromise proposal will not help Live365, which will probably die under the Copyright Royalty Board’s rate decision of March 2, 2007.
