I’d like to welcome the many new listeners who are finding Christmas Music 24/7 in iTunes. And thank you to the people who have emailed me their thanks for the Christmas music playing on Christmas Music 24/7.
The number of listeners is increasing steadily. Halloween seemed to be the official start of the Christmas season. On Halloween Tuesday we peaked at 199 listeners at 2:40pm Eastern time, with a total of 3,175 listeners throughout the day. The next day, November 1st, saw a peak of 360 listeners at 1:50pm, with 3,829 listeners. Today, Friday the 3rd, we peaked at 429 listeners at 2:50pm. So we’ve doubled our listenership this week.
While I love having lots of listeners enjoying the music, be aware there is a limit to how many free listeners can listen to the station at one time. That limit is 500. I am guessing we will hit that limit starting sometime next week. If the limit is hit, you will receive a message that the station is full. You can wait a couple minutes and try again, maybe someone will have stopped listening.
Or you could become a VIP listener. VIP listeners do not count towards the 500 listener limit. You can purchase a VIP membership for around $6/month. If you click the green “Support This Station” button on my station page I will earn a referral bonus, plus about a cent for each hour you listen to the station.
If you are feeling really generous, I can purchase additional listeners slots, over and above the 500 I already have. Extra listener slots are $50 for 25 spots.
