Christmas Music 24/7

I just finished upgrading the music on the Kids station. Now all five stations can be heard in “CD Quality.”

Again, the Traditional station is having problems. It’s only in some audio players, but I and Live365 are aware of the problem. The other stations seem to be unaffected. Update: The issue has been fixed. Thanks for your patience.

Less than one month until Christmas! I hope your shopping and planning has been going well. I received a giant stack of new CDs over the Thanksgiving weekend, so that music will start appearing on the stations late tonight and on Tuesday. And the Traditional Christmas station is right now the #9 most popular station at Live365, out of approximately 7,000 stations.

I hope all of my listeners in America have a happy and safe Thanksgiving today. This is the earliest date possible for Thanksgiving, leading up to the longest Christmas season possible. Enjoy!

Live365 upgraded some of their systems last weekend, and it appears that a byproduct of this is the listing of Christmas 24/7 under the “Religious” category of the Radio section of iTunes will only play for around 15 minutes or so. Live365 is working on this problem. I know this issue is annoying, but simply double click the station again, and it will start playing again. We may need to work on the station, and have to bump everyone off for a few seconds, but we are doing what we can to get it working again. Thanks for your patience and support.

Update Saturday 11-17-2007 noon EST: The problem occurs when you are listening from the iTunes listing, the station cuts out when the ads start to play. Which is annoying, because then you have to start the stream again to listen. But the plus side is you don’t get to hear any ads. Live365 is working on the problem.

Update Tuesday 11-20-2007 4:30PM EST: The problem has been fixed, so you should be able to listen to the Traditional station from the iTunes listing now, for up to 8 hours at a time. Thank you for your patience.
